March of the Moles Benefit Bike Ride

Ever feel like you’ve been a mole, training indoors all winter? It’s time to ride outside, check out a beautiful part of Bellingham and Whatcom County, and do something good for the world.

Date: Sunday March 29
Flex Start Time: 9 – 10am
Distance: About 21 miles with a couple of good hill challenges.
Route: A loop route past Lake Padden and around Lake Sammish, starting and ending at the Bellingham Tennis Club & Fairhaven Fitness
Entry Fee: $25 includes one raffle ticket, water bottle, and Katie’s Cupcake Coupon!

BENEFIT: 50% of all entry fees are donated to the Kona Bike Town Africa Project: Kona has designed and continues to deliver the very cool “Africa Bike” to a variety of African countries for the purpose of aiding home health care workers in the delivery of ARB drugs to HIV/AIDS patients. EDUCATION: Join us for a one-hour “First Gear” class by EveryBody Bike. First Gear is a bike skills course offering facts and techniques to increase your cycling confidence and comfort. Find out where on the road to ride, how to handle left turns, hazards, and more. Held on from 8 – 9am preceding the ride on 3/29 and is only a $5 suggested donation. We promise we’ll serve up piping hot coffee!
