The Tuba stood, alone and strong
and raucous song
Sometimes filled with joy to be
Sometimes reflecting
On life’s mystery
Of loved ones taken
In too short a time
Of friends gone
And the loss left behind
Still the joy of life
The Tuba must play
For the flamingos have flocked
To hear on this very day
In Memory of loved ones lost to cancer

The flamingos appeared in our yard this morning on 4/2/10 – I only wish I had more time to enjoy them before going to work. We were honored and happy to have been flocked to support the American Cancer Society and Susan G. Komen Foundation.
